Owners, Nga Pi Honey

We are artisanal beekeepers and the owners of Nga Pi Honey, located in Northland, New Zealand. Our adventurous spirit brought us to New Zealand from Europe where we have mixed our beekeeping heritage with a love of this land, its history and its people.

New Zealand has a long beekeeping history, using gentle, respectful practices. Honey bees were first brought to New Zealand by the sister of a Methodist missionary, who brought two hives ashore when she landed at the Mangungu Mission Station in the Hokianga, in March 1839Our hives are located less than one hour’s drive from where these original honey bees set ashore all those years ago.

Were staying true to the tradition, bringing our knowledge and technical expertise to the mix and delivering on our mission to extend this knowledge and health to you and your customers.

Our bees source pollen from native flowers, famous for their healing properties, including the popular Manuka honey along with Kanuka, Towhai and White Clover.

The result is pure, golden honey with a unique NZ flavour.

We are proud of our delicious honey, made responsibly. Enjoy.
